An employee wellbeing platform
people actually open
Most workplace wellbeing provision waits for someone to be struggling. Stillwater is the layer before that — a quiet, two-minute daily practice where your team develops the inner skills that keep them well. Nobody should have to wait until they're struggling to build them.
What a wellbeing platform should actually do
Use this on any vendor, including us. If a platform can't answer these plainly, the licence fee is the smallest part of the cost.
People use it on ordinary days
If the only reason to open it is a bad week, most of your team never will. Ask any vendor what repeat use looks like, not just sign-ups.
It takes under two minutes
Wellbeing provision competes with a full inbox. Anything that needs a spare half hour loses.
Nothing personal reaches the employer
If a platform can show you an individual's words or mood history, people will feel it — and they'll stop being honest.
It leaves something behind
A session ends. A skill stays. Look for something that builds self-awareness and regulation rather than delivering content.
Crisis routes are always visible
Support for someone in acute distress should never be three menus deep, and it should never pretend to be clinical care.
Rollout doesn't need a project team
If launching it needs IT, a steering group and a comms plan, the cost is far higher than the licence.
How stillwater works for teams
A daily check-in
Under a minute. How you are, in your own words or a tap. That's the whole ask, and it's the thing everything else grows from.
Five inner skills
Self-awareness, regulation, reflection, presence and connection — practised through ordinary use. No scores, streaks, levels or leaderboards.
A guide to talk things through with
For the thoughts that don't need a counsellor but do need somewhere to go. Available by text or voice, whenever it's needed.
Tools for the hard hour
Breathing, grounding, naming the feeling, and a wind-down for nights when sleep isn't coming easily.
A private journal
Encrypted, personal, and never shown to an employer. Somewhere to put a heavy day before it becomes a heavy month.
Aggregate-only insight for you
Broad engagement patterns across your organisation so you can see whether support is reaching people. Never an individual's entries.
Stillwater is not therapy or a clinical service. If someone needs urgent help, our crisis page is one tap away from every screen.
It suits you if…
- You want something people open on a normal Tuesday, not only in a crisis.
- You already have an EAP and want the everyday layer that sits before it.
- You'd rather build lasting skills than fund another away-day.
- Privacy matters to you as much as engagement.
- You want a rollout that's an email, not a programme.
It's not for you if…
- You need qualified counselling and clinical referral — that's an EAP or an occupational health provider.
- You want to see how individual employees are feeling. We will never build that.
- You want a scoring or ranking system for teams. We don't gamify how people feel.
- You need something that replaces line-manager conversations. Nothing does.
Questions buyers usually ask
What is an employee wellbeing platform?
It's a shared space your team can use to look after their own wellbeing — usually some combination of check-ins, self-guided tools, content and access to support. The useful ones become a habit; the rest become an unused login.
How is stillwater priced?
Per seat, depending on team size and what you need. No set-up fee and no minimum term we'd hold you to. Tell us your headcount and we'll give you a straight number.
What can we see as an employer?
Only anonymised, aggregate patterns — things like how many seats are active and broad engagement trends over time. Never an individual's check-ins, journal entries, guide conversations or community posts.
Do we still need our EAP?
Usually yes. An EAP handles acute need and clinical referral; stillwater is the everyday layer before that point. Most teams keep both.
How long does rollout take?
There's nothing to install. Seats are invited by email and someone can start with a single check-in. The work is communication, not setup.
Is stillwater a clinical or therapy service?
No. It's a practice space for inner skills. Crisis signposting is visible throughout, and concerning disclosures go through a safeguarding process, but it never replaces emergency help or professional care.
Before you buy
Tell us about your team
Roughly how many people, and what you already have in place. We'll tell you honestly whether stillwater helps — and say so if it doesn't.
